The Rotary Club of Fort St. John was honoured to welcome District Governor Donna Barrett to Fort St. John earlier this month. Club President Vince van Wieringen and Past President Bruce Christensen took Donna for tour of the region, and visited many of the local projects our club has been able to build and contribute to, including:
-Rotary Skate Park at Toboggan Hill Park;
-Rotary Spray Park at Centennial Park;
-Rotary Playground at Ma Murray School;
-Dudley and Gail Rotary Room at North Peace Seniors Housing Society;
-Rotary Play Room at the Fort St. John Child Development Centre; and
-Ross H. Maclean Rotary RV Park at Charlie Lake.
Our motto this year is “Serve to Change Lives” and having Donna also take part in our Drive Thru Breakfast was incredible for our membership and community morale, as well as our continued support from Rotary International.
